Invest Europe has published a comprehensive members guide on EU ESG reporting requirements for fund managers to clarify grey areas that exist around the day-to-day application of the regulation.

The guide provides an overview of and practical guidance on the requirements under both the SFDR and the EU Taxonomy Regulation. It outlines the background and implementation timeline for both regulations and illustrates the interplay between them. Further, it goes into detail with the different levels of disclosure requirements, more specifically the pre-contractual, periodic and website disclosure. With the guide Invest Europe also answers common questions from the industry around the classification of funds under the SFDR, sustainability risks, principal adverse impact factors and disclosure information for Article 8 and 9 funds. Further, the guide illustrates current market practices and touches upon guidance from other European institutions.

The guide aims to strengthen the practitioners’ know-how within the area to ensure that they are prepared for meeting existing and future requirements in relation to EU ESG reporting. Further, the purpose from Invest Europe is to provide an overview for every fund and fund manager preference despite the fund set-up.

The guide is reserved for members of Invest Europe and can be accessed here.
